Heilsa Tryggvedottir - Nordic collaboration on sharing sensitive human data
Heilsa Tryggvedottir is the name of the Nordic collaboration on sensitive data funded by NeIC and the partner nodes.
Access to sensitive human data, such as genomics and phenomics combined data, is critical to enable ground-breaking discoveries and to improve human health. The project idea is to productize the technology developed in the preceding NeIC Tryggve projects to increase interoperability and strengthen Nordic cross-border e-infrastructure.
In the Heilsa project, the focus is on building federated services that are interoperable and enable cross-border sensitive data analysis. As a result, a researcher with the appropriate authorizations would be able to combine data from two or more datasets in different Nordic locations. This will be based on the sensitive data archives and the available national compute services, as well as ELIXIR infrastructure services, like ELIXIR AAI.
The scope includes for example sensitive data archives, synthetic data, and imputation service.
